Well it took the better part of a day to run 2 wires to the binnacle mounted gps so we are not tripping over wires anymore. Also pressure washed out the bilge and got it clean enough to eat off of (5 second rule).
Greetings-Your blog just came over my desk as a Yanmar alternator alert. Just to note a couple possible ideas on your alt charge. First try charging only the engine start battery. If the voltage still will not climb then check the voltage regulator in the alternator. If if does charge then you may just have too large a battery bank for the single alternator. One of the reports is how to mount a second alternator to any engine.
